A Clear Mind and Spirit

It is the end of the world. I am at the end of the world. Aren’t we all.

Look around. This person and that one and the person over there frozen in terror are but a few of the millions and billions of people we have witnessed in our lifetimes who are afraid. On a daily basis, a minute to minute to second to millisecond basis they are afraid that today is the end of the world. Whether it’s dealing with the impossibly high costs of food, clothing, housing, medicine or one of a whole host of other anxiety-inducing factors, anything can be the end of the world if we make it so. At this point in time much of the anxieties revolve around nations and their leaders.

It doesn’t matter who the pontificating princes, prime ministers and presidents are in any country. It doesn’t matter where they have been. Those men and women are perceived to have life and death power over the populations of the countries they govern and rule. The view of the citizens unhappy with those rulers is that all of those rulers were chosen by other people. Under no conditions would those citizens have chosen such barbarians to run their countries.

How many times in your life have you heard that all of the leaders of the world are here to destroy our world, to destroy us? The fact is that such a thought or statement may be true. Some of the misbegotten excuses of the rulers of assorted nations is to openly state that they want to tear down everything, including any systems which work.
