As a Midwestern gay man a generation older that Pete Buttigieg, my experience is a lifetime of straights and gays telling me that I am totally straight, totally gay or somewhere on the spectrum in-between. What they are not paying attention to is the obvious fact that I am totally Mark. In the same way, the only spectrum Pete Buttigieg or any of the rest of us are on is our own. Pete behaves like a typical Midwestern gay with a healthy sense of respect and self-preservation. The Midwest is not known for its great love of gays.

My opinion of his intellectual and personal abilities is that he serves us well now in DOT.
