From There to Here
In our lives we build and cross bridges. Some people quite literally build bridges and they are marvels. We cross streams and rivers not even thinking of the men and women who did the mathematics, designed, engineered and built those bridges. Every time I crossed the Mississippi River from Minnesota and Wisconsin down to Louisiana I have been incredibly impressed by both the bridges themselves and the people who built them. That could be part of why I ended up working in departments of transportation in two different states.
I am a very lucky man.
From my birth to today there are bridges of a different nature with which I have dealt and continue to deal. Sometimes to tear down. Sometimes to strengthen and help build up.
Those are spiritual bridges. Bridges between heaven and earth. Bridges between universes and galaxies. Part of my work has been and is to help build the fine golden gossamer strands between suns and planets. Most important of all is the work connecting spiritual beings, human and others, to each other.
My friend the author and psychic investigator Gail Kushner has asked me, probably more than once, to discuss where I came from and how I arrived here. Biologically, I am from a long line of wise guys. My first temptation is to say that it all started with the car ride home from the hospital in my Mother’s arms. From there it’s been rides in planes, trains and automobiles. Plus a whole lot of walking. That’s the facetious wise guy response.
