God is Love is a basic Catholic belief. For those of us raised in the Vatican I days of the Baltimore catechism, this is what we were taught. Our Christian neighbors followed the teachings of St. Paul, the original Calvinist, that all humans are bad. I prefer the teachings of the catechism and the ancient mothers and fathers of the Church.
