Repair the World
How are we going to make it through massive inflation? The outrageous doubling of gas prices in less than two years? Rising food prices and almost everything else? Rents and the costs of housing devour our savings. How can we survive?
I am going to challenge you in the same way I have been challenged.
When we are honest with ourselves, we admit that the only way we get through this life is together. Our world appears to be fraying. The fabric of life feels as if it is coming apart.
How are we going to survive?
The same way humans have always survived. We’re going to help each other. There’s more to it than praying for and with each other. Meditating moves us along our way.
We have the gift of listening to our inner God. We get to listen to our personal guardian angel and all of the other angels who help us through each day. With open ears and hearts we can hear what they say and do something about it.
It takes an enormous amount of courage to admit to ourselves, much less to anybody else, that we see God. You can help other people by seeing God. Look in the mirror. See the goodness inside of yourself. See how that bit of God within you has given you the ability to grow, mature and become the person you are at this moment in time. A very different person from the one who entered this world.
Part of this listening, this recognition of who we are, is that we are helped when we help. Whether we eat birthday cake with someone in good times or are a shoulder to lean on when times get tough.
It’s all about our perspective. Our willingness to let somebody else do for us. It might look like we’re doing the heavy lifting when someone needs are help. That is how it appears to the outside world. Going beyond any possible external motivations, we can see inside ourselves.
There, deep within, we have the opportunity and ability to see how much the people we’re supposedly giving to are giving back to us.
Look around at your busyness in your world. Polish this. Shine that. When we focus on fixing up something in one area of our lives, something else fixes itself. Something is repaired.
When something feels wrong or out of sorts in our personal lives it affects other people. Regardless of our personal awareness of the facts. It may not necessarily be a large facet of our lives.
That is our opportunity to listen to our inner God. We can listen to our angels. Not infrequently they speak through other humans. Seeing something is off the mark with another person facilitates our ability to see and hear what has gone amiss in our lives.
We can choose to fix that corner of our lives or not. If we choose to shine up our lives, we are repairing the world. Helping others moves our lives forward. We are given the ability to heal the fabric of creation.
Can this happen?
Will it take a miracle?
It takes one miracle after another. One small act of kindness repairs the world. That kindness builds upon another. Add them up, one on top of the other.
It takes the miracle of listening to our inner God. Each of us listening to our guardian angel and all of the other angels can create miracles. We have to work at what they say. Do what they tell us needs doing to ameliorate the many pains of this world.
Maybe it feels and looks like our earth has reached a time of unconquerable division. News flash: this is not a first. It has happened more times over the course of history than anyone would care to count.
We have free will. We can use it to repair the world. To bring us closer to that miracle known as doing the right thing.
It’s really annoying when we want to do something selfish and self-serving and then someone comes along to point out how we can do better. We can make the world a more livable place. We can be better persons.
These are days to look beyond our personal fears and the fears gripping society. I hear and read from men and women who listen to their angels and to God. Even they are afraid of where we appear to be spiraling into the pit.
Is that what your free will tells you that you want? Knowing that what we think becomes what we wish for and what we wish for becomes reality, is that the reality you choose?
Look through the anger. Look through the fear. Look through the negativity of it all.
We can become like the trees that are uprooted in storms or we can become stronger because of the storms we have been through. We know if we have already gone through hard times, we can survive more hard times.
If life looks darker than it used to, get out your crayons and water colors. Make the decision to brighten up the colors of your life.
