Thank you, Dan. I have been surprised many times to discover that the way back was through a different door. The church in which I was raised no longer exists. Both the building, which was finally torn down and replaced with a safer structure, and, despite the great evils of the Polish pope, there remain outliers of Vatican II. An Eastern Orthodox friend took me to church with her when I was in my flailing twenties. It was fascinating. Small wonder so many Catholics and Protestants continue to transfer over to Orthodoxy since the 1960's. The depth of wonder among ordinary mystics brought me home.
