The Vampires of Mercy

Over the course of the last fifty years, I have held countless meetings with moral, mystical and spiritual theologians about my spiritual life and experiences. I have heard time and again that my experiences are my own, completely valid and well within what is biblical, Catholic Christian tradition and doctrine.

However, thanks to publishing the article Marvelous Magical Mystics I have been informed that my thinking is wrong, my life is wrong and I need saving by the spiritual vampires of mercy.

The vampires of mercy have reminded me yet again of my fate. If I don’t give up my spirituality and conform to their commands, I am doomed to their vampiric version of hell. While I respectfully acknowledge their existences, my life is not their lives. Nor are the lives of any of my spiritual brothers and sisters.

Apparently because of my not fitting into their world of conventional conservative Christianity and societal group think, into someplace where the vampires of mercy think they have the corner on spirituality, I am doomed.

Not that I was asked if I were interested in joining.

This is not a first. I have heard it since childhood. To be very clear, this is spiritual and emotional bullying. There were also many times when I was physically bullied because I didn’t fit into someone else’s concept of what was and is spiritually normal.

I have been subjected to this all of my life. It has never worked.
